BITELYT TERMS OF SERVICE

Welcome to Bitelyt. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Bitelyt mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, accessing, or using Bitelyt, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use Bitelyt. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.

You represent that all information you provide is accurate and truthful.

2. What Bitelyt Is (and Is Not)

Bitelyt is a local discovery platform that helps users find and track independent restaurants.

Bitelyt:

  • Provides restaurant listings and recommendations
  • Allows users to check in at physical locations
  • Allows users to leave reviews after verified check-ins
  • Enables users to create and share group plans

Bitelyt does not:

  • Own, operate, or control any restaurant
  • Guarantee food quality, safety, availability, or accuracy
  • Verify dietary certifications (including halal status)
  • Act as a booking agent or payment processor for restaurants

You are responsible for verifying all restaurant details directly with the business.

3. Accounts and Security

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activity under your account
  • Providing accurate information

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in fraud, abuse, or manipulation
  • Attempt to bypass location verification
  • Attempt to exploit ranking or voting systems

4. Check-Ins and Reviews

Bitelyt uses location verification to allow reviews only after check-in.

You agree:

  • Not to spoof or falsify location data
  • Not to use automation or scripts
  • Not to post fake, defamatory, or misleading reviews

We may remove reviews or restrict accounts at our sole discretion.

We do not guarantee that reviews are accurate, complete, or reliable.

5. Rankings and Recommendations

Bitelyt uses internal algorithms that may consider:

  • Distance
  • Activity signals
  • Check-ins
  • Reviews
  • Engagement
  • Local diversity factors

Rankings are dynamic and may change at any time.

We do not guarantee visibility, ranking position, or inclusion of any restaurant.

6. Halal and Dietary Information Disclaimer

Any "Halal" or dietary labels are based on public signals and third-party information.

We do not guarantee:

  • Certification accuracy
  • Ongoing compliance
  • Ingredient sourcing
  • Kitchen separation practices

Users must verify dietary suitability directly with the restaurant.

7. Plans and Voting

Group plans require login to vote.

Votes are tied to authenticated user accounts to reduce spam and manipulation.

We reserve the right to:

  • Invalidate suspicious votes
  • Limit voting activity
  • Remove abusive content

Bitelyt does not guarantee attendance, availability, or booking confirmation at any restaurant.

8. User Content

You retain ownership of content you post (reviews, photos, captions).

By posting, you grant Bitelyt a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

  • Display
  • Reproduce
  • Modify (for formatting)
  • Distribute
  • Promote the Service

You are solely responsible for your content.

You may not post:

  • Defamatory or false claims
  • Harassment or hate speech
  • Copyright-infringing material
  • Illegal content

9. Intellectual Property

All Bitelyt branding, logos, software, design elements, and systems are owned by Bitelyt.

You may not:

  • Copy or reverse engineer the Service
  • Scrape data
  • Use bots or automated extraction tools
  • Reproduce content without permission

10. Restaurant Listings

Restaurant information may come from:

  • Public data sources
  • Third-party APIs
  • User submissions

We do not guarantee accuracy or completeness.

Restaurant owners may claim and update listings where available.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Bitelyt is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE."

We are not liable for:

  • Food quality issues
  • Health or safety incidents
  • Restaurant disputes
  • Inaccurate listings
  • User-generated content
  • Loss of profits or indirect damages

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (if any).

12. Assumption of Risk

By using Bitelyt, you acknowledge that:

  • Dining decisions are made at your own discretion
  • Reviews reflect user opinions, not verified facts
  • Dining experiences vary

You assume all risks associated with visiting listed establishments.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access at any time for violations of these Terms.

You may delete your account at any time.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time.

Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Colorado USA

Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Colorado
